SHARPENING PILOT CUTS WITH FILE

WE USE A GOOD QUALITY 150MM HALF ROUND FILE AVAILABLE HERE

To start we screw the broadhead into an arrow ensuring its as tight as you can get it.
We then take the file and with a few strokes make sure we are taking of an even amount on the top and bottom edge of the blade.
to check this after the Teflon coating has been removed use a permanent marker to color the blade.
Once you have a small burr its time to move to the next cutting edge.
repeat the process on all 6 front facing edges and on the rear two if you want them to be sharp on the back edge as well.
once you have a small burr on all desired edges flip the file using the half round side to take the hump out where the rear wings start there protrusion out.
now you should have a nice even burr along the entire back edge use the round side to simple roll the burr back and forth.
the next part is up to you whether your a shaving sharp, hair popping kinda hunter or you like to leave the small burr on to be removed as it passes through the skin of your target critter.

if your the latter hunter then sweet your ready to rock and roll.
if you want that hair popping surgical sharp edge use a quality steel to roll that burr until it falls away leaving you with a crazy sharp edge.
